Our lab conducts interdisciplinary laboratory, field, and greenhouse studies on the biology and epidemiology of field crop diseases to provide North Carolina growers and other stakeholders in the Southeast United States with science-based integrated disease management strategies in tobacco, corn, and cotton.
Our projects involve collaborations with international researchers through the Cooperative Centre for Scientific Research Relative to Tobacco (CORESTA), based in Paris, France; universities in the Southeast United States to contribute to the Crop Protection Network, and a wide array of industries conveniently located here, in the Research Triangle. Additionally, we work in collaboration with NC Cooperative Extension and the North Carolina Plant Disease and Insect Clinic to provide recommendations on the management of diagnosed diseases in tobacco, corn, and cotton.
